Junior High Science takes on Issac Newton

To culminate their study on Newton's Laws of Motion, the junior high students snacked on what else Fig Newtons.  Then they got down to business demonstrating Newton's laws.  They constructed a rocket from a straw and construction paper.  Using a 2 liter plastic bottle, they launched their rockets and measured the distance it flew.  Ask a junior high student how this demonstrates Newton's Laws.  Or maybe they will share their Fig Newtons with you.

7th Grade Cave Art

7th Grade had to pretend they lived thousands of years ago and make a drawing of how they survived- how did they eat today?
With no lights and drawing on the 'ceiling' of their 'cave', they turned out very interesting!

This year, art and history class will work together to create pieces of art based on the culture we are studying in history class. I am very excited to see these masterpieces come together!
